Mechart was established in 1994 in Montreal as a precision CNC machine shop, primarily serving the high growth telecom industry.
2000 – 2009
Expanded services to the Aerospace, Electronics, Transportation and general industrial machining.
2010 – 2019
Moved to a larger facility to support increased production capacity and serve a broader range of clients including food processing and packaging equipment manufactures plus photonics.
2020 – 2025
Rapid expansion and acquisition of new fully automated Matsuura five-axis milling machines operating 24/7. Invested over $3.5 million in state-of-the-art autonomous equipment.
2026
Customer and market expansion leveraging new technologies and processes. Planning a further increase in production capacity with an investment of $1.5 million. This will increase our annual capacity to over 40,000 hours of five-axis machining, targeting open capacity of 30% or 240 hours per week. The company is capitalized to maintain this open capacity though additional equipment acquisition.
